Jason@CASappraisal.com
Jason Carmouche was born and raised in the Greater New Orleans Area. He is a graduate from John Curtis Christian School, and has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University with a business focus. Upon graduating from LSU, Jason was hired by Hibernia National Bank (acquired by Capital One Bank), where he specialized in consumer lending. He was quickly promoted to a Senior Banker and Team Leader, leading and mentoring between 10-15 colleagues. From there, Jason moved from the Consumer Lending Division to the Investment Division of Capital One as a Junior Broker, where his responsibility as a Licensed Investment Representative was to help customers with their private investment needs.
After several years of consulting with customers on their investment and lending needs, Jason could not deny his love for real estate and made the decision to leave the banking world to become a real estate appraiser. Upon completion of rigorous real estate appraisal training, he was hired by Rosamond Appraisal Group as an Appraiser Trainee in 2006. There, he was exposed to both Residential and Commercial assignments, with a concentration on Residential and Multi-Family income producing properties. As a licensed Louisiana Certified Residential Appraiser, Affiliate Member of the Appraisal Institute, and a Licensed Real Estate Agent, Jason is proud to be both personally and professionally active in the real estate market.
When Jason is not at work he can be found sailing on Lake Pontchartrain, flying along the Gulf Coast in a single engine plane in search of the Gulf’s best burger, running up and down a basketball court, hitting the sand volleyball courts to stay in shape, or doing anything athletic to try and convince himself that he is still not past his prime!

He completed coursework and obtained his Home Inspection license in the state of Louisiana in 2006. After which he provided residential inspection services through his personal business - Louisiana Certified Home Inspections. During this time, Elliott learned a great deal about the real estate market and properties in Louisiana.
A personal move to the City of Houston led Elliott to a career in customer service during which he was able to excel in helping others. During this time he was also able to hone his skills in computer software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. He received much praise from customers and supervisors for his attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot customer's needs.
After another move. Once again, Elliott found himself in his home state of Louisiana and his interest in real estate was revived by his exposure to the wonderful architecture and culture New Orleans offers.
He has completed rigorous training in real estate appraisal to become an appraiser trainee and is currently working towards obtaining his license as Louisiana Certified Residential Appraiser.
Outside of appraisal training, if Elliott isn't hunting or fishing you will likely find him spending time outside photographing the architecture and urban and rural life around the city of New Orleans. His work can be found at www.elliottktaylor.com or on social media through his Instagram handle @ekt. He was recently featured in wired magazine online as one of the 5 gulf coast photographers you need to follow.
